The cultural heritage of the Kathmandu Valley is illustrated by seven groups of monuments and buildings which display the full range of historic and artistic achievements for which the Kathmandu Valley is world famous. The seven include the Durbar Squares of Hanuman Dhoka (Kathmandu), Patan and Bhaktapur, the Buddhist stupas of Swayambhu and Bauddhanath and the Hindu temples of Pashupati and Changu Narayan. The seven world heritage sites in Kathmandu valley includes Swyambhunath, Bouddhanath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Changunarayan. The UNESCO World Heritage Site Tour starts at Kathmandu city, wherein lie four of the major sites. The UNESCO Heritages include the Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the Buddhist shrine of Boudhanath, the Swayambhunath Stupa and the Kathmandu Durbar square. Each of the temples is significant to the Hindu and Buddhist people of Nepal. Similarly, the tour then takes you to the cities of Patan and Bhaktapur- two other major cities of the Kathmandu valley beside the capital. There, the tour includes visiting the two durbar squares of Patan and Bhaktapur.
