Langtang Gosaikunda trekking combines the remote and spectacular valley of Langtang, with the high mountain lakes at Gosainkund, sacred to both Hindus and Buddhists where is believed as a birthplace of Shiva so that pilgrimage vist in August each year. You will cross the Lauri Binayak pass 4610m and walk through the Helembu valley.

Passing through Nubamatang, nestled in a hidden valley, you can climb up to the point being able to view the glaciers marking the gateway into Tibet. Tamang people, the majority who inhabit in that area, resemble Tibetans, naturally reflecting the primitive way of ancient Tibetan Buddhism. For there are beautiful and thick forests of larch & rhododendron, being abundant with wild flowers & birds, there are two best seasons to visit this area, the Spring and the end of Monsoon season. As long as you are alert to the danger of AMS at this altitude, you will enjoy the walk that is not very hard.
